Food: Healthy Meal in less than 20 Minutes; Salmon & Broccoli

Salmon is one of my favorite healthy foods to eat, and once you learn to cook it correctly it can taste amazing. A lot of that has to do with the seasoning you love. When you read this recipe, please remember that you can season it with whatever you love. I've come to learn great temperature and timing for cooking it to perfection - or as close to perfection as you can get. ;)

As far as the broccoli, I had some left over from lunches last week so I made it with the salmon and it was delicious.

This recipe took less than 20 minutes to make, including heating up the oven.

Salmon & Broccoli

What you need:

  • Salmon (4-6 oz/person)
  • Broccoli (I make about 1 cup/person)
  • Lemon (will slice it)
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • Garlic Salt
  • Onion Powder
  • Olive Oil
  • Butter (optional)

How to make it:

  • Preheat the oven to 425 degrees.
  • Put foil on pan & grease it.
  • Cut lemon into small circles (you won't use a whole lemon - you will need about 2-3 slices) to put on foil and place salmon on top of.
  • Season the Salmon (to taste)
    • Salt
    • Pepper
    • Onion powder
    • Garlic salt
    • Evenly place a small amount of butter on top (Optional)
  • Cut and Season the Broccoli (to taste)
    • Olive Oil
    • Salt
    • Pepper
    • Onion Powder
    • Garlic Salt
  • Place Broccoli on same pan as Salmon, just on the other half.
  • Once oven is pre-heated put the Salmon & Broccoli in the oven for 12-15 minutes (salmon cooks to 145 degrees)
ENJOY!
